Actor Noel Gugliemi is best known for his role as Hector in The Fast and the Furious and Furious 7. He has also played roles named Hector in several other projects. Many of his fans remember him well for his brief role in The Walking Dead. Which character did he portray? It wasn't Hector!

While it might come as a shock to many, Gugliemi didn't portray a character named Hector in The Walking Dead. A quick scan of Google reveals this is a common misconception as the question is often trending. His character, named Felipe, was featured in season 1, episode 4, "Vatos."

When Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his group first encountered the Vato's led by Guillermo (Neil Brown Jr.), a group of which Felipe is a member, the group came off as tough, aggressive, and hostile thugs.
Felipe's grandmother quickly revealed their true nature and compassionate side when she showed Rick what was really going on. They were protecting a Nursing Home filled with elderly people abandoned by the staff after the outbreak, save for Felipe and Guillermo.

It was a touching storyline that would end tragically. In a season 2 deleted scene (available on the season 2 DVD), Rick and his group return to the Nursing Home to find all of the inhabitants slaughtered, many of whom had reanimated. On theTalking Dead episode following season 9, episode 8, "Evolution," a fan question was posed to Robert Kirkman about the fate of the Vatos and the elderly. He confirmed that all of the residents perished.

On April 26, 2024, Gugliemi will appear as Hector in the John Travolta-led Cash Out. Travolta portrays Mason, a professional thief who plans to pull off his biggest heist with his brother. Things go south, and the thieves become trapped inside the bank they attempted to rob. The film also stars Kristin Davis, Lukas Haas, Quavo, and Joel Cohen.
