The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live had a fantastic six-episode run to give closure to Rick and Michonne's story. Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira didn't miss a beat falling back into the characters as if a lapse never occured. There will likely be mixed thoughts on the end but overall this series was outstanding.

Many new characters were introduced in The Ones Who Live; sadly, all of them lost their lives throughout the six seasons. Who died in the finale?

The plan for Rick and Michonne in the final episode was for Rick to receive the Echelon Briefing from the CRM (Civic Republic Military) and Michonne to find the dossier left by Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh), who died in the previous episode. And they go home together. As easy as that sounds, it never is.

Major General Beale (Terry O'Quinn)

Rick meets with Major General Beale (Terry O'Quinn) to receive the briefing, which opens his eyes to the pure evil of the CRM soldiers' leader. Beale first disarms Rick, telling him to put his gun and prosthetic arm on the table. Then he begins the briefing, asking Rick what the worst thing he did to ensure someone else's survival was. Rick tells him of biting someone's throat out, which he did to save Carl, but in the end, he dies anyway. Which Beale believes proves his point that CRM does the right thing.

After they compare stories, Beale proceeds to tell him truths that boil down to the fact that regardless of what they do, they will die anyway. He informs him of a million-strong mass of the undead that threatens them. He tells him of their wicked ways, how they killed all the residents of Omaha and the Campus Colony, and Portland is next. That is all Rick can stand, and he runs him through with his own sword. Ironic as Beale's motto is "The sword that kills is the sword that gives life."

Beale does get to come back a really cool walker who aids Rick and Michonne in blowing up the 3,000 soldiers stationed at the Cascadia Base.

Pearl Thorne (Lesley-Ann Brandt)

Thorne quickly fell in line with the CRM way of thinking. This pitted her against what Rick and Michonne stood for. By the time she found them, it was too late. They had already set their plan to blow up the base in motion. In what should have been a much more dramatic fight between two female warriors, Thorne was mortally wounded by Michonne as they talked about love in this world. She eventually loses her gas mask and breathes in the chlorine gas.
