Who will Walking Dead's Josh McDermitt portray in Suits spinoff Suits LA?

Josh McDermitt is best known for his role as Eugene Porter in AMC's The Walking Dead but has made a name for himself with appearances in Creepshow, The Kids Are Alright, Mad Men, and more. Recently, it was announced that McDermitt secured his next role in the Suits spinoff, Suits L.A.
Aaron Korsh, showrunner, creator, and writer of Suits, returns for Suits L.A. with the pilot ordered by NBC in February 2024. The pilot is directed by Victoria Mahoney, who also executive produces with Korsh, David Bartis, Doug Liman, and Gene Klein, who also worked on the original series.

The original series, which ended over five years ago, has seen a sharp rise in views due to being released on Netflix. The announcement of Suits L.A. has also contributed to the rise in views.
Stephen Amell, known for his role as Olive Queen in The CW's Arrow, has been cast as Ted Black, a former New York prosecutor who moved to Los Angeles to build his practice, Black Lane Law. His past will come back to haunt him in the series.

Josh McDermitt will portray Stuart Lane, Black's long-time friend and business partner who is described as “energetic, powerful, focussed and self-absorbed.” This will be a significant change from his long-running role as Eugene in TWD.
The firm is at a crisis point, and to survive, Ted must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. He is surrounded by a group of characters who test their loyalties to Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel, leading Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.
Additional cast includes Lex Scott Davis as Erica Rollins, Troy Winbush as Kevin, and Alice Lee as Leah. Newly announced Josh Amos will portray himself as a client of Black Lane Law, with Victoria Justice as a young movie star, Dylan Pryor, and Kevin Weisman as Lester Thompson, who has recently been charged with murder. Lex Scott Davis, Bryan Greenberg, and Troy Winbush also star.
Suits L.A. isn't a reboot of the original series but rather an extension, a path many franchises have experimented with. This series features new characters in the same world but in a different location.
