Fans of The Walking Dead: Dead City were excited when the series was renewed for a second season that would feature eight episodes, two more than the first. The season has been a wild ride of betrayal, death, and emotion and the finale will air soon!
This article contains spoilers for The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2 episodes 1-7.

On Sunday, June 22, The Walking Dead: Dead City will debut the season 2 finale. The eight-part season has taken place mostly in Manhattan as the NYC gangs come against each other and New Babylon in a battle for control of the methane production.
Episode 208, titled "If History Were a Conflagration, " was written by series creator and showrunner Eli Jorné. Michael Satrazemis directs the finale and is well known for directing exceptional episodes of The Walking Dead, including "The Grove," "Slabtown," "How It's Gotta Be," and more.
The synopsis for this episode reads: "Maggie makes a painful choice, while Negan puts on a show." Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) "show" is sure to be something to witness as he declared in the previous episode, "I'm just gonna line 'em all up...then I'm gonna kill 'em all." He then orders Benjamin (Keir Gilchrist) to get the Burazi ready.

Negan's "line 'em up and kill them" line hit too close to home for some viewers as it brought up memories of another lineup in which he killed Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz). Fans remember all too well Negan's introduction to the main series, where he proceeded to torment and traumatize Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his group. Will he do something similar in Dead City? Or will his "show" be something altogether different?

Examining the images from the episode, the Dama (Lisa Emery), who somehow survived the fire, holds Maggie (Lauren Cohan) captive. This is after Maggie's son Hershel (Logan Kim) betrayed his mother, yet again. The Dama has done a number on the boy who is entirely loyal to her.

The episode will also feature Bruegel (Kim Coates) and his Silk Stockings, who are at war with Negan and New Babylon.

It appears that Perlie Armstrong (Gaius Charles) is in danger, perhaps captured by one of New Babylon's enemies.

Don't miss the exciting conclusion of the second season of The Walking Dead: Dead City on AMC and AMC+ on June 22. AMC has yet to make any announcements about a third season of the series, so only time will tell if this comes to fruition.
