The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol will air its season finale episode on Nov. 3. Fans are expecting much out of this one because actor Norman Reedus, who plays the titular character, has hyped up the episode stating: "The finale of Season 2 is the best one-hour Walking Dead anything ever. I've said it in press before. I stick to it. It's mind-blowing."
Tread lightly, as this article contains spoilers for season 2 eps. 1-5 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol.
In the penultimate episode of Daryl Dixon, lots went down. Laurent was safely tucked away with Fallou at the Montmartre Rooftop Community and reunited with Daryl. Daryl kills Losang, Carol admits her lie to Ash, who reacts as expected, and Codron has a change of heart. Daryl reunites with Anna, Quinn's former girlfriend, who is now large and in charge of the Demimond. And viewers were treated to some kicka$$ fight scenes.
This episode featured many amazing clips reminiscent of The Walking Dead series. Many fans long to see something brand new in the spinoffs, but elements of the familiar, invoking nostalgic feelings of the main series, are always appreciated. There were mentions of Judith, Ezekiel, and others, and that camera view of the car of Daryl, Carol, and Ash gave very season 1 Rick-in-the-tank vibes. Another great scene was the fight leading up to getting inside the car, the dynamic duo fighting alongside one another, as it should be.
One of the best and bloodiest scenes of the episode comes after Daryl shoots up two walkers with the serum and lets them take care of the horde surrounding them. He remembered back to the fight between he and Quinn when a walker was shot with the serum, changed, and then proceeded to attack a regular walker. This was quick thinking on his part and it proved a smart move and gave viewers an excellent scene to watch.
Viewers got an inside view of what Daryl and Carol experienced while the super walkers took care of the other members of the undead outside the car. Blood splattered everywhere, and you could tell by the look on Daryl's face that he wasn't expecting things to play out like they did. In the end, it was a brilliant move on Daryl's part. The aftermath outside the car was a sight to behold.
