The season 2 finale of The Walking Dead: Dead City was directed by Michael Satrazemis, and the recent Behind the Dead footage showcases his talents as well as those of the actors in this episode.
Below is a video that gives fans an inside look at the fight scene between Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and one of the newcomers to TWDU, Kim Coates as Bruegel. Now, Coates always brings his A-game to whatever he works on, and he had to go a step further in Dead City to meet the likes of Morgan, who has continued to portray Negan Smith to perfection.
IMO, Bruegel is the best new character featured in any of TWD spinoffs. He is highly intelligent with a sadistic side, that he finds quite humorous and despite his horrific end, was a worthy opponent for Negan. The former leader of the Saviors did have the upper hand due to the fact that while Bruegel hid in his bunker for over a year after the outbreak, Negan was leading a a group of people into submission to bow to his every whim.

Coates did an incredible job with the time he was actually on-screen, but killing him off was a bad move. He had the potential to be something bigger and better, given the chance. His sadistic side, revealed when Negan caught him cheating during the walker fights, gave him an edge in becoming a supreme villain. He used his former bodyguard, Tony (Nate Andrade), as his main walker fighter, keeping him locked in a room where he was forced to eat rats and then fight in the ring against the undead. This treatment, administered by Bruegel, a man Tony had previously protected, likely drove him mad, but it was further proof of how far Bruegel would go to stay on top.
The finale episode fight scene between Negan's Burazi, formerly led by the Croat (Željko Ivanek), and Bruegel's Silk Stockings was an impressive setup. While Bruegel focused on the food being poisoned, he didn't suspect that Negan had a more sinister plan. Perlie (Gaius Charles) notices fuel on the pews as Negan's men upend the table, which hid a small horde of walkers who immediately attack. At the same time, members of the Burazi use flamethrowers to ignite the pews.

At the start of the meeting Bruegel gifts Negan with a 13th century Spanish statute. This was a ruse to smuggle in weapons when and if, he needed them, but Negan still came out on top with only Bruegel and Armstrong surviving.
Showrunner Eli Jorne stated that Satrazemis "killed himself to get it, and we got it," referring all the elements that had to come together to create this outstanding fight scene.
There has been no official announcement from AMC regarding season 3 of The Walking Dead: Dead City, but viewers are hopeful.
