According to What's On Netflix The Walking Dead: Dead City will finally be added to Netflix as part of the on going deal between AMC Network and the streamer. In Aug. 2024 several AMC originals were added to the streamer's catalog.
The August announcement also revealed that The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live and Dead City would be added in Jan. 2025. When that date arrived, Dead City was omitted without an explanation. But now, fans don't have long to wait as the six-part first season of Dead City will be added on March 17 in the US.
Dead City is the first direct sequel to The Walking Dead which picks up Maggie (Maggie Rhee) and Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) stories several years after the conclusion of the main series. The characters now reside near Manhattan and the long time enemies are forced to work together to rescue Maggie's son Hershel (Logan Kim) who was abducted by a former member of Negan's Saviors.

Dead City season 2
The Netflix release of season 1 will come ahead of the second season release on AMC and AMC+, which has been announced for Spring 2025. The second season will see things alter greatly in Negan's life as he returns to his old ways. Read more here: Negan but be warned there are season 1 spoilers.
Dead City will join several other TWDU series on Netflix including all eleven seasons of The Walking Dead and all eight seasons of the first spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead. The Ones Who Live and the first season of Daryl Dixon are also available on the streamer.
