Dealing with the undead can be... an extremely haunting task. Nobody knows that better than Maggie and Negan, both of whom have lost everyone close to them in the post-apocalyptic world. So, for this one week alone, we'll take a break from all the relentless madness and discover what life could've been like under normal circumstances.

We're about to explore an alternate reality where death isn't around every corner and discover whether Maggie and Negan would still have had a very complicated relationship even if the latter hadn't killed the former's husband. Fortunately, the time for answers is nearly here.

What to expect in the sixth episode of The Walking Dead: Dead City season 3

It's time to travel into a different universe where the dead never learned how to walk. The upcoming episode of The Walking Dead: Dead City will showcase what Maggie's life would've been under normal circumstances. Of course, this means she would've never met Glenn, but the trade-off is that her half-sister Beth Greene would've never died. As such, the two are expected to completely steal the spotlight this week.

Similarly, we're about to discover a whole new side of Negan—one that may not be as relentless as the one we're used to. However, the main objective of the upcoming episode is to explore whether the bat-wielder would've had a healthier relationship with Maggie, leading us to believe things wouldn't have been simple either way. Maybe the two were always destined to be at odds in some capacity.

Of course, one of the biggest questions in store is whether any other The Walking Dead legends will appear on the small screen this week. Could we get a glimpse into Rick Grimes' life? Maybe Negan's former wife, Lucille, would never have died. The possibilities are endless, and the best part is that we don't have to wait long to discover what surprises AMC has in store for us.

The Walking Dead: Dead City episode 6 will be released on Aug. 30, 2026.
