The Walking Dead has seen much success since its 2010 debut, expanding into a massive universe of spinoffs and character-focused stories. But one day, the highly successful zombie franchise will reach its end. While we don't know exactly when that will be, there’s still time for AMC to deliver one last spinoff that could be a true fan favorite.
The franchise has already delivered spinoffs focusing on iconic TWD characters, including Rick Grimes and Michonne in The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, Negan and Maggie in The Walking Dead: Dead City and Daryl and Carol in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
How about we give Judith Grimes (Cailey Fleming) her own spinoff? Growing up in the apocalypse as the daughter of Rick and Lori, she’s already proven herself brave, resourceful, and wise beyond her years. In the original series, we watched her face relentless danger, outsmart both walkers and humans, and develop into a resilient young leader. But with the zombie series focusing more on the older characters, there’s still so much untapped potential in Judith’s story.

Although she appeared in The Ones Who Live as well, it was only for a brief scene at the end of the series. A full spinoff could dive deeper into her journey, exploring how she navigates a world still filled with walkers, forms her own alliances, and steps into the role of a leader in her own right.
She's about 12 years old at the end of TWD and The Ones Who Live. A potential spinoff could follow her as she grows into her teenage years and then into young adulthood. Or, maybe a time jump could fast-forward to a more experienced, battle-hardened Judith carving out her own legacy as a full-blown adult. Either approach would be exciting to watch!
What's even better is that the potential spinoff could include cameos from her adoptive father and mother, Rick and Michonne, or even other familiar faces from the original series. Fans would absolutely love seeing these reunions. Just imagine an older Judith interacting with her uncle Daryl. That would be a sight to see!
Currently, the only new Walking Dead spinoff officially reported to be in development is More Tales from the Walking Dead Universe. However, there have been no updates on the series since its announcement in 2023, leading to speculation that it may have quietly been canceled. That leaves Daryl Dixon and Dead City as the only two spinoffs on air. That said, AMC should give us what we want and go ahead and announce a Judith Grimes spinoff. Fans will surely tune in!
