This war miniseries ranks as one of the best and stars two Walking Dead actors

There are many war dramas that shed light on the experiences of soldiers during times of war, but this one is the best.

In 2001, HBO premiered the Emmy and Golden Globe winning Band of Brothers series. Created by legendary filmmakers Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, who also collaborated on Saving Private Ryan (1998). the story chronicles the history of "Easy" Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division.

Band of Brothers is based on the research and interviews with Easy Company's veterans by Stephen E. Ambrose that he gathered for his 1992 same-titled non-fiction book. The series did take some liberties to alter history for dramatic effect but the characters in the seires are based on real members of Easy Company.

ensembleThe ensamble cast consists of Eion Bailey, David Schwimmer, Donnie Wahlberg, Colin Hanks, Damian Lewis, Ron Livingston, Michael Fassbender, Scott Grimes, Neal McDonough, Tom Hardy, Simon Pegg, James McAvoy, and many more.

Two Walking Dead actors starred in Band of Brothers

Actor and director Michael Cudlitz played Sergeant Denver “Bull” Randleman in Band of Brothers. He is well-known in The Walking Dead universe for portraying Abraham Ford. Abraham and his traveling companions Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt) and Rosita Espinosa (Christian Serratos) were introduced in season 4. Sadly, Abraham met his end at the hands of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in season 7.

Cudlitz is also known for his roles in Southland, Superman & Lois, Bosch: Legacy, and The Kids Are Alright.

Actor Kirk Acevedo portrayed Staff Sergeant Joe Toye in Band of Brothers. He appeared in season 4 of The Walking Dead as one of the Governor's (David Morrissey) right-hand men, Mitch Dolgen. He is remembered as the man who drove the tank into the prison and, after surrendering, was killed by Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus).

Acevedo is well known for his roles in Oz, Fringe, The Thin Red Line, 12 Monkeys, and Arrow.
