The Walking Dead is a post-apocalyptic story featuring many gruesome deaths, blood, and gore, something more intended for adult viewers. However, even children aren't safe in AMC's long-running series, which has featured numerous deaths of younger characters. One of these deaths was revealed in season 2 and shocked most viewers. It was a gutsy move by the series creators to showcase such a heartbreaking death of a child.
Variety recently announced that Madison Lintz, who portrayed Sophia Peletier in TWD, will star and executive produce a new series, Eve Ronin, based on the novels by #1 New York Times bestselling author Lee Goldberg. Joining Lintz as executive producer are Craig Dorfman, Lorraine Toussaint (Orange Is the New Black, Selma), Derek Dudley, and Shelby Stone of ID8 Multimedia and Goldberg (Mystery 101, Monk, Diagnosis Murder).
The story follows the youngest homicide detective in the Los Angeles County precinct's history. Her work takes her behind the scenes of the glamorous lives of Hollywood's elite, where she tackles high-stakes cases "while battling institutional resistance and her own personal demons."
Goldberg's highly acclaimed book series consists of five stories, the sixth of which, Fallen Star, will be released in October 2025.
Lintz portrayed Walking Dead sweetheart Sophia Peletier in seasons 1 and 2. Her brothers Matt and Macsen also starred in later series as the older and younger versions of Henry, respectively. Sophia was the daughter of Ed (Adam Minarovich) and Carol (Melissa McBride). The young girl was divided from the group, and when she was found, the worst had occurred; she was bitten by a walker and reanimated. It was a shocking revelation for her family and friends, as well as viewers.
Sophia's reanimation reveal was shown in the midseason episode of season 2, "Pretty Much Dead Already." It was a fantastic and emotionally charged episode written by Scott Gimple and directed by Michelle MacLaren. Watch the incredible Making of the Barn Scene below.
The actress portrayed Madeline "Maddie" Bosch, daughter of Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) in Amazon's police procedurals, Bosch and Bosch: Legacy. The original series aired for seven seasons and was inspired by Michael Connelly's novels, City of Bones (2002), Echo Park (2006), and The Concrete Blonde (1994). Legacy is a spinoff of the original, which aired for three seasons.
She also appeared in Sid Roth's It's Supernatural talk show and Hulu's musical drama Nashville. Lintz has appeared in the fantasy thriller After (2012), Parental Guidance (2012), and the horror thriller Along Came the Devil (2018).
