The second season of The Walking Dead: Dead City offers viewers a much broader glimpse into post-apocalyptic Manhattan. It is exciting to see familiar landmarks in this setting as the battle for the island begins. AMC and AMC+ will air episode 205, "The Bird Always Knows," on Sunday, June 1. The network has released new images for the upcoming episode, with one that appears to spoil something significant for one character.

The synopsis for the episode reads: Negan makes some big moves, while Maggie takes matters into her own hands.
Written by Sarah Nolen and directed by Ed Ornelas, "The Bird Always Knows" will continue to build tension between the rival gangs of Manhattan and what remains of New Babylon's army. Methane production is vital as it can provide power and fuel using a plentiful resource, walkers.
The image above features Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) possibly in talks with Christos (Jake Weary), a leader of one of the main gangs in Manhattan. Negan has secured the cooperation of Dre (Karina Bonnefil) and Bruegel (Kim Coates) in the battle against New Babylon, but has yet to convince Christos.
Other images, below, feature Negan and the Croat (Željko Ivanek) in talks among other gang members. The gangs are comprised of ruthless, brutal, and lawless people who have held their own against one another on the island. It will be interesting to see if they can work together against New Babylon.
The next series of images appear to show something traumatic with the foragers, led by Roksana (Pooya Mohseni). The foragers are the strange group New Babylon encounters in the depths of Central Park. This group of survivors live off the land and use the walkers as their first line of defense against the Burazi and other gangs who believe the park to be a place where no one ever comes out alive.
From the looks on their faces, something horrible is happening during these scenes that also feature Ginny (Mahina Napoleon), Hershel (Logan Kim), and Narvaez (Dascha Polanco).
The final set of photos seems to take place during a conversation between the Dama (Lisa Emery) and the Croat. Tension between these two has steadily grown this season. The brilliant, yet unhinged, Croat wants to be in charge, but the Dama knows that Negan is a far better leader and turns to him more often than the Croat, who has been with her longer.
The final photo looks as if the Dama is reaching out from under a piece of furniture. Is this something the Croat does to her? It is unlikely that AMC would spoil a death like this but something significant happens to the woman.
The Walking Dead: Dead City returns to AMC and AMC+ on Sunday, June 1, with episode 205, "The Bird Always Knows."
