The Walking Dead introduced us to many iconic characters, and it was enjoyable to watch each of their journeys unfold. We're talking from their struggles to their moments of triumph. If you've been missing Steven Yeun on your TV screen, you won't have to wait long. The Walking Dead actor will be in an upcoming action thriller flick on Netflix titled The Rip. It's set to be released on the streaming platform on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026.

Inspired by true events, The Rip centers on a team of Miami police officers who stumble upon millions of dollars in hidden cash in an abandoned stash house. Their job is to secure the money, count it, and ensure it makes its way into the proper channels. But in reality, handling millions of dollars on the ground is far more complicated, risky, and morally challenging. Joe Carnahan (Shadow Force, The Grey) wrote the screenplay and directed the film.

Yeun takes on the role of Detective Mike Ro, a Miami PD officer who helps find the cash. He's joined in the cast by the leads, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. The rest of the cast includes Teyana Taylor, Sasha Calle, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Scott Adkins, Kyle Chandler, Néstor Carbonell, and Lina Esco.

There's the animated fantasy film The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, where he voices the character of Zuko. He'll also be in a Netflix crime thriller titled Animals. When it comes to TV work, you can expect to hear his voice in the upcoming fourth season of Invincible, which comes out in March. He returns to voice the lead character, Markus "Mark" Grayson/Invincible.
