It's a time of celebration for one star from AMC's The Walking Dead. Katelyn Nacon, who portrayed Enid on the long-running zombie series, has announced her engagement to long-time boyfriend Xavier Jimenez. Needless to say, TWD Universe fans are thrilled for her.
Taking to social media, Nacon shared a picture of the engagement ring with the caption "5/28/26", confirming that the pair did indeed get engaged on May 28 of this year. The post was instantly flooded with congratulations messages from her TWD co-stars.
Check out the post below:
Nacon's longtime friend and TWD co-star Chandler Riggs, who played Carl Grimes on the series commented "LETS GOOOOOOOOOO". Cassidy McClincy, who portrayed Lydia, posted: YESSS WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!❤️❤️❤️". Tom Payne, who played Jesus on the series, added: "Yeeeeeees! Congratulations guys! 🥰🥰🥰".
Among the other Walking Dead stars to comment on the post are Khary Payton (King Ezekiel), who said "CONGRATULATIONS!!!", Matt Lintz (Henry), who celebrated with "LETS GOOO", Angel Theory (Kelly), who said "AHHHHHHHHH‼️‼️‼️ CONGRATULATIONS FAM", Christian Serratos (Rosita Espinosa), who responded with "Omg!", and Cooper Andrews (Jerry) also said "Congratulations!!!!!!".
Jiminez is an actor and director, having appeared as the Tusken Raider Chieftain in The Book of Boba Fett, another Tusken Raider in The Mandalorian and Tinker in Marvel's Agents of SHIELD. He and Nacon have been together since at least 2021, and he also took to Instagram to share the news with his followers, sharing the same photo of the engagement ring on Nacon's finger with the same caption. It was also met with excitement from friends and followers, with a number of TWD stars - including Riggs and McClincy - also commenting on that post.
Nacon was a fixture of The Walking Dead from its fifth season onwards, with Enid growing close to Carl Grimes (Riggs) as the two characters started a relationship. She also had a close friendship with Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) and formed a relationship with Alden (Callan McAuliffe) over the course of the season 9 time-jump - long after Carl had been infamously killed off. Nacon enjoyed a long and successful stint on the show, which saw Enid serve as the survivors' doctor until the character was killed off in the shocking season 9 finale. That season's villain - Alpha - killed a number of beloved characters to announce an all-out war with the heroes of the show, with Enid unfortunately being among the dead.

If you watched The Walking Dead during the height of its popularity, Enid would have been on your screen a lot. Although not one of the primary characters, she was a regular part of the series as Nacon was a series regular, constantly involved in important storylines throughout her run. We'd be lying if we didn't say we got so used to seeing the character that Enid's heartbreaking death caught us all off-guard. If we're being honest, it was probably one of the last truly jaw-dropping moments in the original series.
Since then, Nacon has remained a regular of the screen, starring in the second season of Light as a Feather as a series regular in 2019, while also appearing in episodes of Chicago Fire and The Rookie. We can't wait to see where she appears next!
Sending a huge congratulations to Katelyn Nacon and Xavier Jiminez on their engagement!
