The death of Carl Grimes, played by actor Chandler Riggs, was an emotionally charged event within The Walking Dead universe. So much so that many viewers never watched another episode as they believed Carl should have survived the series, as he did in the comic story, carrying on the Grimes legacy. Luckily, the world still has Chandler Riggs, and on Memorial Day weekend 2025, he recreated an iconic moment from the series as part of a Senoia Tour for The Camp Events.
The Camp Events is a celebrity meet-and-greet charity event that hosts celebrity guests from The Walking Dead, From, The Boys, The Avengers, The Conjuring, and many more. Attendees know this event as a FANmily reunion that takes place in Peachtree City, Georgia, every Memorial Day weekend. What sets this event apart, besides the intimate setting, is the special events.
The special events are unique opportunities to create special memories with your favorite celebrities. Examples of these include Cobbler with Cooper Andrews, who played Jerry; Turtle Painting with Katelyn Nacon, who played Enid; Dirty Bingo, hosted by Michael Traynor (Nicholas); and Whiskey Tasting with Seth Gilliam (Father Gabriel), among others. Other features include meals and guided tours of filming sites with your favorite cast members.
Additionally, many of the musically gifted actors will schedule special performances. In 2025, Emily Kinney (Beth) hosted a concert, and David Alpay (Jade) and Scott McCord (Victor), actors in the series From, held special musical events.
The 2025 event featured an extra-special event involving Riggs. The actor and a group of attendees took a tour of Senoia, home of The Walking Dead. During the tour, they visited what is known as the Pudding House, where, in season 4, Carl proceeded to devour an entire 112-ounce can of chocolate pudding while sitting on the roof.
This took place after Carl fought the walker that can be seen in the window in the image below. He locked the walker in a room and wrote “Walker inside. Got my shoe. Didn’t get me” on the door, to warn others.

With permission from the owners, Riggs was permitted to recreate this scene in 2025 (below). Tour attendees gathered below for a photo with Riggs, high atop the porch roof, holding his pudding. This is a TWD memory that will stay with them always, courtesy of The Camp Events.

The Camp Events is held each Memorial Day weekend in Peachtree City, Ga. In the fall of 2025, The Camp Events presents Scream City, a horror con that will be held in St. Augustine, FL.
