Actor Avi Nash made a name for himself as Siddiq in AMC's long-running apocalyptic series The Walking Dead. He will reprise his role as Lukas Kyle in the second season of the sci-fi dystopian drama, Silo.
The series premiered on AppleTV+ in 2021, and on Nov. 15, 2024, the series will premiere its second season. Silo was created by Graham Yost, known for the FX series Justified, and is based on the best-selling Silo trilogy of novels Wool, Shift, and Dust by Hugh Howey.
The story is set in a dystopian future and follows a community which is based inside a silo hundreds of stories underground. The society is ruled by regulations that were put in place to keep the residents safe.
The series second season has am early ranking of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes with positive reviews from critics. Silo is praised for its character driven writing, world building, and production design.
Rebecca Ferguson leads the first season cast which includes Rashida Jones, David Oyelowo, Common, Tim Robbins, Avi Nash, Harriet Walter, Rick Gomez, and Chinaza Uche, all but Jones will return. Other returning cast members include Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Clare Perkins, Billy Postlethwaite, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie and Iain Glen.
Details of the Silo season 2 has been kept under wraps but Steven Zahn has been announced as a new cast member, a hermit who hasn't interacted with others in decades.
Don't miss the premiere of season 2 of Silo on AppleTV+ beginning Nov. 15. The remaining episodes will air weekly on Fridays through the season finale which airs on Jan. 17, 2025.
Avi Nash - other roles
In 2023, Nash appeared in season 6 of Black Mirror. He starred in the first episode of the season "Joan is Awful," along with Salma Hayek, Annie Murphy, Michael Cera, Himesh Patel, Rob Delaney, and Ben Barnes. The episode features Murphy as a woman who discovers that a dramatization of her life has been launched globally, on a streaming platform.
He also starred in Laetitia Colombani's film, The Braid, based on her novel and in 2022 starred with fellow TWDU alum Lennie James in the rom-com There, There. This movie is quite unique as it was filmed during the pandemic with each actor filming their part alone.
Nash's first feature film role was in the 2014 dramedy Learning to Drive, which starred Patricia Clarkson and Ben Kingsley. The film follows a Manhattan writer forced to learn to drive after her husband leaves her, requiring her to become more self-sufficient. Her driving instructor, a Sikh preparing for his arranged marriage, discovers they have something to learn from one another. Nash portrays a character named Preet. Learning to Drive is available to stream on Prime Video, Peacock, and more.
