When Does Dead City return to AMC? NYCC teaser trailer reveals premiere window.

AMC Networks had quite the lineup at the 2024 New York City Comic Con (NYCC). The network featured panels for two of its Walking Dead spinoffs, Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol, and the Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) led Dead City.
The first teaser, below, for Dead City's second season gave fans a sneak peek at the upcoming season and revealed the release window to be in the spring of 2025. This is great news for fans of the series which is set in post-apocalyptic Manhattan.
Pro-wrestler and musician Chris Jericho served at the moderator for the panel which featured The Walking Dead Universe Chief Content Officer Scott M. Gimple, executive producers and stars Morgan and Cohan. They were joined by returning cast members Gaius Charles, Željko Ivanek and season 2 new comer, Dascha Polanco.
The first season required Maggie and Negan to team up in an effort to rescue her son Hershel (Logan Kim) who was abducted by the Croat (Ivanek), a former member of Negan's Saviors. The city, now filled with members of the undead and denizens, who have taken over the island, creating world ripe with anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.
In season 2, Maggie and Negan will find themselves, once again, on opposite sides, this time in the battle for Manhattan. The first season saw Maggie successfully betray Negan and trade him for her son. Little did she know that the Dama (Lisa Emery) the true leader of one group in Manhattan who had extensive discussions with her son, but also took his pinky toe a reminder of what she is capable of. The Dama wants Negan to run part of her crew to take over the island with the promise that if he doesn't comply, she can easily take more from Hershel.
In the teaser, Maggie asks "Why do you want to go back [to Manhattan] after everything that happened." We don't know that she is talking to Negan but we quickly see Negan back to his old ways complete with leather jacket and Lucille 2.0, or whatever issue this is.
The Walking Dead: Dead City will return to AMC and AMC+ in the spring of 2025 with an exciting second season.
During the NYCC panel Gimple offered up some other great news for TWDU. He stated that work is actively in play for upcoming spinoffs and other branches of the universe.
