The Walking Dead Is Preparing Season 6 Filming Locations

Folks are already hard at work on The Walking Dead’s sixth season.  They’re preparing filming locations, assembling everyone, and putting the finishing touches on the script.  One of the key components for the hit AMC show is to maintain their excellent filming locations in Senoia, Georgia.

There’s a great relationship between The Walking Dead and the people of Senoia.  According to Times-Herald.com, Mike Riley (the location manager for Stalwart Films) appeared before the Senoia City Council on Monday night.  His request was for the “intermittent closures of Gin Street through the summer, and two temporarily parking lots near downtown”.

Our friends over at The Spoiling Dead Fans over on Facebook have shared a photo from two of their members named Myles and Michelle showing a sign on one of the lawns in Senoia, Georgia on Gordon Road, between Luther Bailey Rd. and East side school Rd.  The phone number on the sign is for the location department for Stalwart Films, the same group that works with The Walking Dead.

Although Alexandria will be the major focus for the filming of The Walking Dead’s sixth season, there will, of course, be occasions when the group will have to leave the safety of the walls.  That includes things like looking for food or water, searching for emergency medial supplies, and gathering other items such as weapons or building supplies that are needed to secure their community.

It will be interesting to see the new locations and how they are incorporated into The Walking Dead’s story.  As always, major thanks go out to Senoia, Georgia for allowing AMC to film this fantastic show there.  Also, big thanks go out to The Spoiling Dead Fans and the Times-Herald.com.
