The second episode of Fear The Walking Dead is set to air on Sunday, August 30, 2015.  This installment is titled “So Close, Yet So Far” and is described the following way on the AMC website:

"“As Madison struggles to keep Nick from crippling withdrawal, Travis ventures out to find his son before Los Angeles falls.”"

‘So Close, Yet So Far’ is written by Marco Ramirez and is directed by Adam Davidson, who also directed the pilot episode of Fear The Walking Dead.  This episode will be 60 minutes long and will not have an accompanying installment of Talking Dead to go with it.

Luckily, we do have quite a bit other than just the description to go on for those of us who want a jump-start on ‘So Close, Yet So Far’. In fact, there are three available teaser videos on YouTube for us to watch before we tune in on Sunday.

The first teaser video is hosted on the YouTube account of AMC.

As you can see, this is the teaser video that aired immediately following the pilot episode of Fear The Walking Dead.  It shows Travis and Madison trying to get their family together in order to make sure they can all be safe.  It also accentuates the outbreak by showing another person who had turned that was “put down” and has us enjoying another scene of Nick freaking out about what he’s seen and done.

The second teaser video also comes from AMC.  Here is that video from their YouTube account:

This one shows Madison and Tobias seemingly gathering supplies for their family at the school before they notice that something isn’t quite right with the principal, Artie.  The look on Tobias’ face in the closing seconds of this clip says a lot as to how he feels about investigating what is going on.

Finally, here is a video from The Walking Dead – France YouTube account:

This promo gives us a TON more information than the U.S. promos.  In fact, we learn in this one that cell phones, electricity, satellites, internet and other forms of electronic communication are going down.  We also see that Travis and the Clark family will meet up with the Salazar family in their barber shop.  The principal is staggering like a walker with blood on the back of his shirt.  And, of course, the rioting and all-around craziness will begin to swarm around Los Angeles.

It sounds like things are really going to pick up in the second episode of Fear The Walking Dead.  Be sure to tune in to AMC on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 9 pm ET to catch the next installment in this fresh and interesting series.  However, always be sure to check your local listings for time and availability.
