Fear The Walking Dead likes to include a lot of small things in their episodes.  From the civilian who looked like Chandler Riggs to the very creative episode titles, there are a lot of things that can be learned from watching the episode multiple times.

One of our readers on Twitter with the handle @sara4luck spotted something during ‘Not Fade Away’ that made her believe she found one of those little things.  During the episode, Madison Clark cuts a hole in the fence to see what is happening and just outside there are dead bodies everywhere, and she believed one of them were Alicia’s boyfriend Matt.

She tweeted us at Undead Walking and asked us the following question:

"“Why didn’t Madison tell anyone Alicia’s boyfriend was shot and laying dead on the sidewalk when she went out?”"

Thankfully, TheStream.tv’s Su Castillo and Michael Tiberi from The Walking Dead After Show were available to answer this question for us.  Here is what they had to say:

Personally, I’ve watched this scene several times.  After those viewings, I’m pretty confident that it wasn’t Matt laying dead outside the fence.  If it were, I do think that Madison would have told Alicia about her findings.  However, it is much more likely that Matt was a casualty inside the fence after turning and likely attacking his parents when they came home.

If that is Matt though, I still don’t see where Madison would be obligated to tell Alicia.  In Fear The Walking Dead‘s ‘Not Fade Away’, Alicia was seen dealing with the loss of Matt in her own way, and added to that as well as bring up the past might not be the best thing at this very stressful time in the lives of the survivors inside the safe-zone.

We could all go back and check our DVRs and re-watch the episodes, but in the meantime we can check out our friends at theStream.tv and tweet to them on Twitter using the hashtag #FearTWDAS.  Plus, you can interact with the folks from TheStream.tv using their social media accounts:
