AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming second season, and it appears as though things could get very rough at sea.

With so much focus being placed on the high-octane return of The Walking Dead for their season 6 midseason premiere, it is easy to forget, at least temporarily, that Fear The Walking Dead will be coming back this April for 15 episodes of insanity.

Fans will get something different when they watch the companion series compared to AMC’s ratings juggernaut. Aside from a new group of characters and relationships to understand, there will also be a shift in the setting for Fear The Walking Dead‘s second season that should be of interest to those who have ever wondered if zombies could swim.

Recently, a new teaser trailer was released for season 2, and although it is only about 10 seconds long, it provides several insights as to how the walkers deal with the water and some of the problems that can arise from being on a boat instead of dry land.

Here is that video thanks to AMC and the folks at Yahoo!:

This one of those teasers where many things flash very quickly on the screen to give viewers an intense feeling that there will be fast-paced action and excitement that may be difficult to keep up with. However, there were some scenes that bear a breakdown from the video.

More from Undead Walking

First, some zombies seem to float while others appear to sink. That is interesting, because it provides to different ways for the undead to attack the people on the ship. From the clip, it isn’t certain as to whether or not extended exposure to the water makes the walkers easier to kill, but it will have an impact on their level of decomposition, which will be fun to watch.

During the video, it appears as though the crew of Abigail (Strand’s ship) dock and go out looking for supplies. Walkers seem to be everywhere in the clip, proving that the number of undead might be higher than fans expect at this point in the series.

And Victor Strand has traded in his fancy suit for some more suitable zombie smashing clothing, as if he is more willing to be a team member and work with the Clark/Manawa family.

Fear The Walking Dead will return for its second season on April 10, 2016 for a 15 episode run on AMC. It should be unlike anything that fans of the zombie genre have seen on either television series up to this point, making it must-watch television.
