Discussion: Why Wasn’t Glenn Shot In The Leg By The Hunters?

Recently, The Walking Dead has followed along the storylines in the comics fairly close.  Season 5 has been notorious so far for trying to stay as close to the graphic novels as possible.  However, when the folks at Father Gabriel’s church were pulling Bob inside after he was left in nearby bushes by The Hunters, there was a glaring omission.

In the comics, The Hunters fire one shot at the survivors.  That shot hits Glenn in the leg.  Although it’s not a serious injury, he is tended to by Dr. Eugene Porter and Father Gabriel before they start heading north.

Why wasn’t this included in the television show?  That was the question asked by Adam C. on Twitter.

The folks over at TheStream.TV answered his question for us.  On The Walking Dead After Show hosted by Malynda Hale, Glenna Gasparian, Kegan Schell, and David Fichtenmayer discussed the possible reason why this part of the storyline wasn’t included in the hit AMC show.
