The Walking Dead is barreling towards its midseason finale this month and producer Robert Kirkman is teasing it as being pretty deadly.

So far this season on The Walking Dead we’ve seen some pretty intense stuff going on, but that all seems to be preparing us for what should be a nasty midseason finale in a few weeks.

We don’t know for sure what is going to happen in the midseason finale, but it’s looking like things are going to be intense. Already rumors are stating that a major character is set to die, but we won’t know for sure what will happen until the episode arrives at the end of the month.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Kirkman noted that The Walking Dead midseason finale is going to be different from what we’ve seen in the past and will be ‘pretty deadly’

"“This confrontation is definitely going to be substantially different from the confrontation with The Governor or Gareth,” Kirkman says. “We do continue to evolve these human-to-human conflicts in very interesting ways, and this is no different. There are going to be some pretty unexpected events in our midseason finale, which is as it should be. On a scale of one to 10, I’d say [the midseason finale is] pretty deadly.”"

This is to be expected, but it only makes us want the midseason finale to come even more. The wait will likely be heartbreaking, if the rumors of a major death hold up, and this tease from Kirkman confirms that things will only get nastier as the season tears on.
