This Walking Dead Character Might Be Coming Back For Cobalt

The Walking Dead is usually very mysterious about what it does and usually sticks to its guns, but a recent casting mystery may suggest a surprise crossover and the return of a character.

Can ou say surprise crossover? That might be the case moving forward with Cobalt but maybe not in the way we were all hoping. There are still a ton of questions about what Cobalt is and how it will fit into the timeline of The Walking Dead in terms of possibly crossing over with the events going on now.

It appears we may have been given a clue on what the direction of Cobalt is and where it might lead. If the facts line up and the rumors check out, then we could have a Walking Dead/Cobalt crossover with a character who was on one series and is now on the other.

No, it’s not Beth — rather, it’s Morales.

As brought to our attention by Cinema Blend, the casting call sheet on IMDb at the moment has Morales, played by Juan Gabriel Pareja, currently listed as a character who is returning to the universe of The Walking Dead but in the storyline of Cobalt and not The Walking Dead.

It’s worth mentioning — more than worth mentioning, actually — that IMDb is not always the most concrete place to get casting information. That being said, the site is a tightly run ship, and the fact that it still hasn’t been updated seems to suggest something might be up.

If this were just a random appearance of Morales on the character sheet for Cobalt, then it might be dismissible. But with the rumors swirling that he’s going to return to the series, it’s very plausible to say that his return is in Cobalt and not in the storyline playing out in The Walking Dead.
