Anthrax star Scott Ian will appear in The Walking Dead’s 12th episode of season 5 in full walker makeup, and that is something he’s very excited about.

Very few celebrities get welcomed onto the The Walking Dead’s set to take on a role as either a survivor or a walker.  Luckily for Anthrax frontman and guitarist Scott Ian, he will appear in the show during their season 5 episode 12 show.  That episode is titled Remember, and is set to air on March 1, 2015.

This isn’t Scott Ian’s first time appearing on something for The Walking Dead.  Back in 2011, he appeared in a webisode for the AMC’s website and spoke about how he got to put on some of the makeup:

"“I know Greg Nicotero. We have a mutual friend, Kirk [Hammett] from Metallica. I met Greg as far back as the late ’80s through Kirk because Kirk’s a big collector of horror memorabilia. So I’d gone to the set of the webisodes here in Los Angeles, and got to get made up as a zombie.”"

Here is the full video of that conversation:

Scott Ian also also talked about about how horror and metal music go hand-in-hand in a recent article on Blabbermouth.net:

"“They’ve always gone hand in hand. Metal guys are huge nerds. [Laughs] A good percentage of are either horror or sci-fi or comic book or fantasy nerds. So, all of a sudden if you have some disposable income, you’re like, ‘Wow, I can actually buy that zombie head from that movie!'”"

The Anthrax star talked about his favorite movies in the horror genre, including Dawn of the Dead, Scanners, the Evil Dead series, and Drive.

Make sure to tune in to The Walking Dead season 5 episode 12 on March 1, 2015 to see Scott Ian as a walker in the episode titled Remember.
