‘The Walking Dead: Invasion’ Has A Release Date

The world of The Walking Dead is about to get bigger on October 6th when a new novel based in the world of the hit TV show and comic books is due to hit bookshelves everywhere.  Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we now know what the cover will look like.

The book is titled The Walking Dead: Invasion and is written by Jay Bonansinga.  This novel is set after the fall of Woodbury when the survivors from the former settlement spawns two separate factions.  One of the groups, led by the charismatic Lily Caul, takes to the underground to survive but really wants to take Woodbury back from the horde of undead that now dominate the area.

The final tagline for this novel is enough to intrigue any curious fan of The Walking Dead.  Here is what the book teases about when the two groups of former survivors clash according to the description on the book’s jacket:

“The final confrontation between these two human factions unleashes an unthinkable weapon – forged from the monstrous hordes of undead, perfected by a madman, and soaked in the blood of innocents.”

The Walking Dead already has a well established line of novels that are quite popular with fans of The Walking Dead’s universe.  Here are the novels that have already been released along with the dates that they were available:

If you haven’t been reading these novels, it’s never too late to start.  Now is a great time to catch up with Invasion set to come out in October and several of the books being able to be found in inexpensive digital versions or on used book websites.

And after you get caught up, make sure to watch for Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead: Invasion on bookstore shelves when the novel is released on October 6th.
