I don’t typically like to write about other projects involving zombies on a site devoted to The Walking Dead, but every once in a while something comes along that is just too interesting not to pass on to our readers.  And that is exactly what happened when I found out that Arnold Schwarzenegger was going to star in a movie about zombies.

That’s right, whether you call him Mr. Olympia or The Governator, Arnold Schwarzenegger as a new film coming out with Abigail Breslin titled “Maggie” that looks to be a heart wrenching look into watching a loved one turn from a human into a flesh eating monster.  It will follow the lengthy process from infection until the inevitable end when we will find out what Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character will do regarding his loving daughter’s transformation.

Here is the trailer for the film from JoBlo Movie Trailers YouTube account, where the official trailer is hosted:

Accompanying the trailer for the film on the YouTube page is the following description of the film that outlines that basic premise of the movie and gives a little insight into what to expect from this seemingly heart wrenching tale:

"“Directed by Henry Hobson, the story follows Arnold Schwarzenegger setting out to protect his infected daughter (Abigail Breslin) when a zombie epidemic is threatening the world. It looks to be a refreshingly small-scale, compelling drama with the zombie aspect simply a backdrop, and we’ll find out soon if that’s the case. Also starring Joely Richardson, Laura Cayouette, and Dana Gourrier, check out the trailer below.”"

The director of this film, Henry Hobson, is also known for being the main title director for The Walking dead and is credited with that on the IMDB website.  So perhaps a little of the magic of the hit AMC show will find its way into this interesting project.

Maggie, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, is scheduled to hit limited theatres on May 8, 2015.  Be sure to check with your local theatres to see if it will be available in your area.  It looks like the kind of movie that you don’t want to miss.
