Emily Kinney Will ‘Wreak Havoc On The World’ On ‘The Flash’
By Adam Carlson
Fans of The Walking Dead know Emily Kinney as the singing member of the Greene Family who was a major part of the season 5 storyline. However, now they may have to get used to her in a bit of a different role on the popular show on The CW titled ‘The Flash’.
On ‘The Flash’, Emily Kinney plays a character based on the comic book character Bertram Larvan. The character’s real name will be Brie Larvan, but has the nickname of “The Bug-Eyed Bandit”. From what I’ve read, it appears as though Larvan will play a pretty big role on the show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Emily Kinney’s character has created an army of mechanical bees as her subjects and is set to pay back those who shut down her research.
Here is what Emily Kinney told The Hollywood Reporter about the episode:
"“She had a good career going. She was developing these mechanical bees and some people in her company felt like she was trying to use them for evil instead of good, and they shut her down. Now she’s out for revenge. She’s out to get back at this company, so she’s made up her own little bee hive and is sending her bees to wreak havoc on the world.”"
While I’ve heard that revenge is a dish best served cold, it’s not very often that revenge is served up with an army of mechanical bees. And while the “evil genius” thing is played out, Emily Kinney could very well have the acting chops to pull off a role like that.
Emily Kinney also discussed the difference between working on The Walking Dead and being a part of the cast of The Flash. Strangely enough, it seems as though the biggest difference was having to do with the wardrobe that is necessary for the shows.
"“It is very different. Brie dresses very sexy and cool. When I’m on set for Walking Dead, it’s the apocalypse and we’re all dirty. On The Flash they’re always trying to fix my hair and make me pretty, while on Walking Dead they go, ‘oh good, you look worse!'”"
You can check out The Flash Tuesday nights on The CW. Be sure to check your local listings for time and availability.
