Each year, The National Association of Broadcasters gets together for a conference to discuss the role of media in entertainment.  This year’s show dived a bit deeper into the entertainment portion of broadcasting and featured a panel with three of the major players on AMC’s The Walking Dead.

On hand for the event were AMC President Charlie Collier, The Walking Dead’s creator Robert Kirkman and Steven Yeun, who plays Glenn Rhee on The Walking Dead.  They were part of a question and answer session that was quite interesting and gave us some excellent insight into how AMC and The Walking Dead have come together to create such a successful program.

Live from Las Vegas, Nevada, those three gentleman were asked many questions by the people in attendance at The 2015 National Association of Broadcasters conference.  While I haven’t been able to locate the full interview with the group from The Walking Dead online, there was an excellent “greatest hits” type version of the session available on the NAB Show YouTube page.

Here is the video that they shared:

It’s excellent that a group as distinguished as The National Association of Broadcasters took the opportunity to recognize an individual show like The Walking Dead.  And it shows a lot about AMC and the kind of group they are to agree to appear on the programming.

Events like this just go to show how much AMC has helped to make The Walking Dead a huge part of television entertainment.  It also helps to explain why the show, its stars, and crew are so accessible for so many interviews, conventions and other functions.

Hopefully, things continue to kick butt for The Walking Dead so that it can keep doing cool things like The National Association of Broadcasters convention and help other shows create similar road maps to success in the future.
