The Walking Dead: What’s Next For Maggie Greene In Season 6?

Things seem to be going pretty well for Maggie Greene on The Walking Dead.  Ever since the group reached the Alexandria Safe-Zone, she’s assumed a position with the community’s government and has seemingly gotten comfortable with the relative safety of the area.  However, Maggie Greene is one of the characters that has a really uncertain future on the show.

If we go based on The Walking Dead’s comic books, Maggie has avoided some major problems and it’s that kind of thing that could mean either a lot of trouble for her or some clear sailing.  Anyway, let’s talk about the things for Maggie that might or might not be a part of her future storyline.

**WARNING:  COMIC SPOILERS BELOW***

As we know, sometimes The Walking jumps around in time on the show.  If that trend continues, one of the bigger storylines involving Maggie that occurred before the incidents with The Hunters could still happen.  During that part of the comics, Maggie feels some deep depression following the death of all her family members and is having some huge urges to start a family.  However, she questions bringing life into the world and decides to try hanging herself in the woods.

Even if that part of the story doesn’t happen, the next part might.  In the comics, Maggie gets extremely worried about Glenn and doesn’t want him going on supply runs anymore.  Glenn is frustrated with Maggie’s demeanor and they have a lack of intimacy despite them wanting to have a baby.  They adopt Sophia (who could be Enid from the show?) and that helps them move on past their problems.

Despite all that, The Walking Dead might have something completely different in mind for Maggie going forward.  I suspect that the suicide angel might be moved past, however I do think that the issues with Maggie and Glenn and the supply runs could very well be something addressed during season 6 of the show.
