Rick And Morgan Will Be ‘The Spine’ Of The Walking Dead Season 6

The Walking Dead’s sixth season is still a ways off, but there is already a lot of talk about what direction the show will take going forward.  Fans of the comics have been speculating and assuming a lot of things, but we never know what direction the show will go.

We got a little insight as to what will be going on with The Walking Dead during season six when Robert Kirkman (the creator of The Walking Dead) was at the National Association of Broadcasters conference in Las Vegas, Nevada earlier this month.  According to Kirkman, two of the main characters from the show will be the primary focus.

Here is what he said according to an article on Melty.com:

"“Now it’s a very different Rick and a very different Morgan who are going to have a completely different relationship. And it’s the questions of how they’re going to interact, how they’re going to work together – if they’re going to work together – and what comes from those interactions is going to be basically the spine of season six.”"

There’s no surprise that Rick Grimes will be prominently featured, but the fact that Morgan Jones will also play a huge role is a bit interesting.  Some fans seem to think that Rick and Morgan will have a happy reunion now that they’re both at the Alexandria Safe-Zone, but their relationship may not be as smooth as it was now that they have both changed quite a bit since their last meeting.

Watching these two characters come together on The Walking Dead amidst all the death and danger surrounding them will be very interesting to watch.  Don’t think that the other stories on the show will take a backseat to the other characters and situations.  You can expect all the craziness and surprises in addition to finding out what the relationship between Morgan and Rick will be.

The Walking Dead will return for its sixth season this fall on AMC.
