The Walking Dead: What’s Next For Sasha In Season 6?

One of the hardest characters to predict the future of when it comes to the season 6 of The Walking Dead is Sasha.  For the most part, the popular AMC show tends to follow along fairly closely to the comic book source material.  And that makes figuring out the future of Sasha even more difficult since she doesn’t exist in the comic book world.

Despite that difficulty, there are some things that we can speculate about Sasha by looking into her character’s past and some of her recent characteristics.  Let’s look at some of the possible things that could be in store for Sasha during season 6 of The Walking Dead!

***Warning: The Walking Dead comic spoilers below***

From what we’ve seen from Sasha in the past, it’s fairly safe to assume that she’s taken on the role of Andrea from The Walking Dead’s comic book series.  A lot of fans seem to agree with that idea as Sasha is the group’s sharpshooter and has experienced the same kind of losses that Andrea has, especially when it .

If this is true, Sasha has some big storylines coming up.  And maybe some really, really weird ones.  You see, in the comics Douglas Monroe, the leader of the Alexandria Safe-Zone develops a huge crush on Andrea that makes things really awkward for the survivors.  Luckily, it appears as though that won’t be part of the story since Douglas turned into Deanna and Reg/Aiden have already been killed off.

However, the next part seems like something that will definitely happen.  In The Walking Dead’s comics, The Scavengers (The Wolves on the show) approach Alexandria with threats.  Andrea was in the tower watching everything (as Sasha often does on the show) and quickly dispatches of the threats involving the group in the woods by firing several quick shots, even taking out a well concealed sniper.

After that, Andrea is hit on by Spencer (which makes me feel pretty grimy).  All that is going on while they’re dispatching of bodies while walkers are closing in.  Eventually, several of the group’s best survivors have to take on a massive group of the undead that were attracted by all the gunfire from the battle with The Scavengers.  Andrea gets frustrated because of the ineptitude of the accuracy shown by some of the survivors while shooting at walkers and takes out most of the big crowd by herself.

There is also the possibility that Sasha could take a page out of Maggie’s story from the comics and enter a severe depression.  It would make sense since she’s lost her love interest Bob, her brother Tyreese, and struggles to adjust to life in the walls of Alexandria.  If this is the case, it would be Sasha, not Maggie, that attempts suicide in the woods and finds herself being rescued.  However, I’d love to see this story from The Walking Dead’s comics skipped entirely.

What do you guys think?  Is Sasha going down the path or Maggie or will she instead live the life of Andrea?  Or will AMC’s The Walking Dead throw us all for a loop and tell a story for Sasha that isn’t in the pages of the comic books?  We’ll have to wait until The Walking Dead returns from break this fall to see what happens in season 6.
