Fear The Walking Dead Filming in Los Angeles This Weekend

Earlier this month, it was announced that Fear The Walking Dead was being filmed in Vancouver, Canada.  While much of show is likely to be recorded there, they also said that they’d be returning to California for some touch up shots and some locale stuff.

According to the folks at On Location Vocations, a project from Stalwart Films called “Cobalt” would need to use the area under a bridge and an area of streets for filming.

Here is what On Location Vocations posted on their page:

"STALWART FILMS LLCCOBALT (working title)Area Under E 6th St Bridge, S Santa Fe Ave – East to Los Angeles River05/17/2015 – 05/17/2015    7:00 AM – 10:00 PME 1st St., Los Angeles River, E 7th St., S Alameda St., inclusive (Excluding Los Angeles River), Los Angeles, CA, 9001305/17/2015 – 05/17/2015   7:00 AM – 11:59 PM"

As we all know by now, Cobalt was the code name that Fear The Walking Dead was under before the official name was announced.  It is interesting that if the filming was to be secretive, that another name wasn’t used instead of one that has already been connected to “Fear”.

But that also means that Fear The Walking Dead is likely nearing completion on filming and is close to entering the post-production phase.  With the show scheduled to air on AMC this Summer, it’s no real surprise that they’re getting all the location shots done and are shifting filming destinations.

As usual, stay tuned to Undead Walking for coverage of Fear The Walking Dead.  We will be posting spoilers as they become available, doing live tweets of each episode as well as previews, reviews and recaps.  And with how quickly the Summer is approaching, we’ll all be enjoying more zombie fun before we know it.
