The Walking Dead is a worldwide phenomenon.  Because of that, there is merchandise everywhere based on the hit AMC television show.  You can buy tee shirts, posters, and almost anything else related to the show that you can imagine, but some of the coolest products are the ones that allow fans to temporarily step into the role of their favorite characters.

Thanks to the website ThinkGeek, three memorable items from The Walking Dead are available for purchase for those hoping to dress up as one of the survivors from the show or just have some fun with a toy based on the program.

Here are the three items currently available:

Daryl Dixon’s crossbow, The Walking Dead, ThinkGeek

Daryl’s Crossbow

The first replica for The Walking Dead from ThinkGeek is bound to be the most popular of the three.  Daryl Dixon’s popularity on AMC’s hit zombie show is through the roof and now there is a safe toy to play with or use with your cosplay outfit to show off your inner Daryl.

Note: This crosbow does NOT fire bolts.  It only makes a noise when the trigger is pulled.

Merle Dixon’s knife hand, The Walking Dead, ThinkGeek

Merle’s Knife Hand

Next, we have another memorable prop that fans could have a lot of fun with.  When Merle Dixon cut off his hand to escape the rooftops in Atlanta, he replaced it wit something even more deadly than his bare hands.  This metal stub with a knife attached did a lot of damage on the show, but the safe replica could be fun for anyone!

Michonnes katana, The Walking Dead, ThinkGeek

Michonne’s Katana

Finally, we have a weapon that almost feels like a character.  Michonne seemed much, much different when she was without her trusty weapon after it was taken by the Termites.  She eventually got it back, but now you can get your own safe version for play or show!

Personally, I’m a big fan of cosplay and toys based on The Walking Dead.  It’s always nice when you attend a convention and see a fan of the popular AMC show in full costume.  In addition, items like these do make fun discussion pieces for display in your home.

Do you guys have any great The Walking Dead items on display in your home?  Or do you enjoy dressing up as your favorite characters?  Let me know in the comments below.
