If you are looking for people who share your love of The Walking Dead, Twitter. If you are looking for news and information about the show, the actors, filming, spoilers; Twitter. If you are looking to connect with the actors by reading what they say and seeing pictures they post online, Twitter. If you are looking to get your thoughts out about the show as it airs, Twitter.

Twitter is a huge resource and home for Walking Dead fans. If you’re not on Twitter because you think it’s just silly or celebrity tweets, you might reconsider. Twitter does have a small learning curve, but it is quite fun once you get the hang of it. There are some big differences between Twitter and Facebook.

One big difference between Twitter and Facebook is that Twitter is fast and it doesn’t matter if you look at it often or not. You don’t need to read all the tweets–nobody cares! You’re going to miss tons of them. Important tweets will come back. And you can always go to a specific person’s page and check it, if you want. Another big difference between Twitter and Facebook is that on Twitter you mostly interact with strangers who have the same interest. It’s really fun.

As far as The Walking Dead on Twitter, there are tons of ways to use a Twitter Account. I recommend a special account just for Walking Dead related things. Follow Walking Dead actors, AMC, and soon you’ll be followed by and following plenty of Walking Dead fanatics!

The little blue check mark will tell you who the real (verified) Walking Dead actors are as you will soon find out there are many people who take Walking Dead actor and character names. There are also many walkers and crew members and producers on Twitter.  My favorite actor to follow on Twitter is Michael Cudlitz. He is very funny and amiable in his tweets and responds and retweets randomly so it’s very fun knowing he’s really there.

There are many sites that have articles or information or spoilers. Our site publishes articles– we publish some spoilers, but always with warnings, we never tweet spoilers.  We also tweet games, puzzles, picture puzzles, conversation questions and things to get our followers interacting with us and with each other. We live tweet the new episodes, which means we tweet about them as they air with our followers. We also highlight fan artists and costume players we find. We have tons of fun on our Twitter!

The last thing to know about Twitter, if you’re new, is the hashtag. If you look up a hashtag, you’ll find lots of information and people and tweets about The Walking Dead. I made several Twitter friends during the New Year’s Marathon last year because I interacted with people whose tweets were clever on the marathon hashtag. For a great start, try #thewalkingdead, #twd and #twdfamily.

If you’re already on Twitter, I hope you consider following us. If you’re not on Twitter, you might give it a try. I love it. It’s a blast for Walking Dead fun.
