‘Big News’ In Store For Telltale’s The Walking Dead At E3

The folks over at Telltale Games have been very busy lately.  In addition to the award-winning series they have based on The Walking Dead, the developers have expanded their library to include other popular series like Game Of Thrones, Tales From The Borderlands, The Wolf Among Us and other projects.  Also, the news that Telltale Games will be teaming up with the folks at Marvel could be a major game changer.

However, fans of The Walking Dead: A Telltale Game have been left out in the cold a little.  There hasn’t been a new episode released in Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead series since chapter 5 of season 2 back in August of 2014.  Fans got even more restless when it was discovered that the third season of the game wouldn’t be coming out until 2016.

But fans can turn that frown upside down.

The Director of Public Relations at Telltale Games, Job Stauffer, recently announced that there would be “Big News” coming for the The Walking Dead at this year’s E3 event, but that it wouldn’t be the game’s third season as many fans were hoping.

Here is what Stauffer said on his twitter account:

Something major about The Walking Dead’s game series from Telltale at E3?  I’ll take that.  Hopefully, it is an optional side project from the series like when the DLC “400 Days” helped bridge the gap between season 1 and season 2 of the series.

Either way, I’m sure that the announcement that Telltale Games makes at the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo will help fans of their series based on The Walking Dead better handle the long wait until 2016 when season 3 is expected to be released.

I know I’ll be watching the announcement.  Will you?
