The Walking Dead Season 6: Corey Hawkins To Play Heath (Photo)

The Walking Dead Season 6 is right around the corner, and the cast continues to be added to with Heath joining the fun in Alexandria.

We are getting into the thick of filming for The Walking Dead Season 6, and that means characters who will be appearing are starting to be added to the call sheet. There have been rumors about who will be added to the cast, but nothing can be confirmed until we see set photos.

It’s been happening sparingly, but set photos have been popping up here and there for The Walking Dead, with the most recent set photo confirming the addition of a long rumored character.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Corey Hawkins will be playing Heath on the upcoming season of The Walking Dead.

"AMC’s The Walking Dead has cast Corey Hawkins, the star of NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton, to play a key comic book character, The Hollywood Reporter has learned."

Not only did we get confirmation that Heath is going to be appearing on the The Walking Dead Season 6, but we got our first look at him as well.

Hawkings will be starring in the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton this summer, but his biggest break might be in The Walking Dead. While the film he’s starring in will no doubt have it’s rave reviews, and stands as a perfect launching point for his career, but his role on the AMC series might be more powerful for his mass appeal.

Either way, Heath is showing up this season on The Walking Dead, and it’s going to be interesting to see how he is worked into the story. He first appeared in issue 69 of the comic series, and whether or not he sticks around is now entirely up to those behind the television show.
