Norman Reedus’ Rep Denies Emily Kinney Dating Rumor

Leave it to the media to jump into the lives of two people and declare them a couple.  That’s exactly what happened when The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus was seen at Emily Kinney’s musical events together as well as sharing time at conventions together.

When the news “broke” about the potential couple, we didn’t know how to react.  While we love both Norman Reedus and Emily Kinney from their time on AMC’s hit zombie drama The Walking Dead, the idea of them being an actual romantic couple was something that I couldn’t quite wrap my head around.

It seems as through other media outlets were a bit skeptical too about the story.  MTV.com reached out to a representative of Norman Reedus to ask about the dating rumors and here is what they were told:

"“We can confirm that they are not dating.”"

It’s easy to see why the media wanted them to be together though.  Norman Reedus and Emily Kinney shared some emotional scenes together during The Walking Dead’s fourth season that could lead folks to believe that there was some kind of spark between the actor and young actress.

Sadly, we live in a society that seems to believe that two people who share an admiration for each other, but also meet the qualifications for dating, can’t be “just friends”.  Norman Reedus can support Kinney’s concerts and enjoy her company without being in a romantic relationship with her.

Norman, never to be outdone on social media, seems to be having a little fun with the situation and posted this photo jokingly on his Twitter account:

Better look out, Norman Reedus and Arnold Schwarzenegger might just be Hollywood’s next power couple!  Or maybe we should just let celebrities live their lives and be a little more careful before we declare two people to be in a romantic relationship.
