The 2015 Wizard World Comic Con International is ready to kick off in San Diego, California on July 9th.  This means that many popular comics and television shows will be promoting their products on one of the biggest stages in the world.  Luckily for us, The Walking Dead will be one of those on hand to share some information.

At this time, we don’t know what is in store for us at Comic Con International, but it’s always fun to try to guess what will be coming up next.  Just for fun, I’ve put together a list of things that I’m hoping for at the event.  Keep in mind, this is NOT an official list of what will happen, just some things I’d love to see.

Here are my predictions for what fans could be treated to at Comic Con International:

  • TRAILERS! – I love trailers.  At last year’s comic con, fans were given a video full of quick images and intense music to help tease the upcoming events of season 5 of The Walking Dead, and I expect nothing different this year.  Plus, it is likely that we’ll also get a trailer for the Fear The Walking Dead, as it is set to premiere next month on AMC.
  • DATES! – I suspect that we’ll finally get an official air date on the premiere of Fear The Walking Dead as well as possibly the date for season 6 of The Walking Dead.
  • NEW CAST MEMBERS! – One or two new cast members for season 6 or Fear The Walking Dead could be announced, but I don’t anticipate any of them to be major celebrities.
  • The Walking Dead: Michonne from Telltale Games - photo from TelltaleGames.com

GAMES! – There’s not much to be expected in the games category this year.  E3 supplied us with the bombshell of The Walking Dead: Michonne – A Telltale Games Series and the virtual reality game that is in the works.  I don’t anticipate any release dates or groundbreaking announcements in this department unless there are some more stills from Telltale’s game.

  • COMICS! – Considering what just happened in the last issue, I expect The Walking Dead’s comic book fans to be FULL of questions.  Personally, I’m hoping for a little nugget to slip out about why what happened in the comics did, but you never know since Robert Kirkman is even more tight-lipped about the comics than he is the television show.
  • OTHER PROJECTS! – Expect Kirkman to try to drum up some more interest in his movie Air starring Norman Reedus as well as (fingers crossed on this one) news that Laurie Holden will be a part of the new X-Files season.  Also, other actors from the show will be promoting their projects.
