Fear The Walking Dead ‘will suck you in’ with pilot episode
By Adam Carlson
Fear The Walking Dead is one month and one day away from its debut on AMC. That means that it isn’t much longer until we’ll get to see the people of Los Angeles, California learn about the zombie epidemic from the very beginning.
There are still a lot of questions surrounding the pacing and situations involving the show, so it is always nice when some more information is unveiled about what the plans are for AMC’s companion show to The Walking Dead. Comic-Con International in San Diego, California answered many of those questions, but there are some grey areas when it comes to the expectations of the show.
Recently, Entertainment Tonight’s website offered an exclusive look at Fear The Walking Dead through the eyes of the cast and crew of the show. They got to watch the reactions of people as they viewed the first episode and had some great reactions to what they saw. Here is the video hosted on the ETOnline website:
To me, the best part about Fear The Walking Dead is that there is no source material. There is no way know what is coming in the future story. It’s a completely original story that is set in the same universe as AMC’s hit show The Walking Dead, which is entering season 6 later this year.
In the video Alycia Debnam-Carey (Alicia) discussed what kind of knowledge fans will need to know before they sit down to watch the first episode of Fear The Walking Dead:
"“You don’t need to know anything about The Walking Dead to really get into this show. You don’t have to have watched the original. It’s coming from a very different place, a very different time, it’s before everything happened, so it’s completely refreshing and different.”"
Mercedes Mason (Ofelia) thinks that once you see this pilot, you’ll be hooked.
"“It will suck you in. The world is amazing. I’ve actually never seen a pilot where literally I looked back any everyone was on the edge of their seat with their eyes wide.”"
Be sure to tune in to Fear The Walking Dead when it premieres on August 23, 2015 at 9 pm eastern on AMC. Be sure to double-check the time and availability with your television provider.
