The Walking Dead cast: who they would bring back to the show?

Characters die on AMC’s The Walking Dead.  It’s just the way things happen.  When you’re surround by hordes of undead monsters, it’s bound to happen.  As the show adds characters, others find themselves killed off, sometimes in brutal fashion.

The Walking Dead’s fans always like to speculate on what would happen if certain characters were still alive.  However, thanks to Comic-Con International in San Diego, California, some of the members of the show’s cast and crew got to express which characters they would bring back to the program if they could.

Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha) chose Shane Walsh, the former police officer and partner of Rick Grimes.  There was a lot left to work out with his character before his passing, including his obsession with Lori, relationship with Carl, and potential fatherhood when it came to Judith.

Special effects guru and executive director Greg Nicotero would like Lori Grimes back.  He feels the love triangle between her, Shane, and Rick could have been played out much, much more.

Steven Yeun went with a Frankenstein’s Monster of sorts, wanting to combine Dale and Hershel into one character to have them return.  Their wisdom and kindness are something that is always interesting in the zombie apocalypse, but as we always know, the moral compass doesn’t seem to last long.

Norman Reedus said something that left all the rest of the cast members stunned for a moment.  He answered “Glenn”.  After a moment of silence, the rest of the cast and crew began to chuckle and play it off a bit, but then Reedus says “Michonne”.  That Reedus is always so wacky.
