The Walking Dead to return to Hollywood Horror Nights
By Adam Carlson
Universal Studios Florida will soon be crawling with members of the undead as The Walking Dead is once again scheduled to be a huge part of the Hollywood Horror Nights celebration.
This will be the 25th anniversary of the Hollywood Horror Nights, so you can expect nearly everything to be bigger and better than the years before. The event will be held from September 18th through November 1st of 2015 and will also have several other attractions based on popular horror shows and movies, including Freddy vs. Jason, Insidious, and others.
Keep in mind that this is NOT a family friendly event. In fact, there is a disclaimer on the website that states the following: “WARNING: Event may be too intense for young children and is not recommended for children under the age of 13.” In addition, Tony Timpone (the editor of Fangoria Magazine) seems to believe the experience is unrivaled in a statement on the Hollywood Horror Nights website: “After visiting scream parks all across the U.S. for the last 20 years, I can easily say that Universal’s is the best in the business… Halloween Horror Nights is the ultimate Halloween experience.”
But let’s not kid ourselves, the main reason to be excited about this event is the tie-in with AMC’s The Walking Dead. As you could see from the image up top, the focus this year is on The Wolves and the mutilated walkers surrounding the Alexandria Safe-Zone.
Here is the teaser video for the event from the Universal Orlando Resort YouTube account:
For fans of The Walking Dead who are thrill seekers looking to get their adrenaline rushing, there might be a better place to than Hollywood Horror Nights at Universal Studios to get your heart pounding.
