The Walking Dead invades Munchkin Games in new expansion

The Walking Dead has been taking over everything in the world (or so it seems), so it is only fit that the popular juggernaut takes over one of the most popular strategy card games on the planet.

If you’ve never heard of Munchkin, it is basically a strategy card game. The goal of the game is to have your character reach level 10 (or level 20 in an epic game) by earning the right to play level up cards while facing monsters and gaining treasure. However, it won’t be that easy, as your opponent will have a deck full of cards to make things as difficult as possible for leveling up.

Today, the popular card game has been updated with an expansion licensed by The Walking Dead.

The 56 card Munchkin Zombies: The Walking Dead deck is an expansion for the Zombies. You can use these cards to upgrade your Zombies deck to have iconic characters and items from The Walking Dead’s comic book series.

Here is the description of the deck according to the World of Munchkin website:

"“Based on the hit comic book series, this 56-card expansion to Munchkin Zombies lets you show your favorite Walking Dead characters who’s really in charge. The undead rule!Do battle with deadly living foes like Rick, Michonne, and Negan. Whack them with a deadly Katana or the brutal Lucille . . . take their stuff and shamble toward victory! Level up to become the most badass undead of all. Show the living that the world belongs to The Walking Dead.”"

Personally, I’ve played this game with my cousin and had a fun time. With the addition of The Walking Dead, the game has become even more interesting to me. I will definitely be picking up this card deck in order to crush my cousin’s goal of reaching level 10 next time we rumble.
