Fans of The Walking Dead are eagerly waiting for the appearance of Paul Monroe, but we may now know that he will be a part of the show’s sixth season.

Paul Monroe, aka Jesus, is a comic book favorite for fans of The Walking Dead.  He’s one of the toughest and smartest people left on the face of the planet and will be a major help for the survivors when he is finally introduced.  Thanks to a video on the Entertainment Tonight website, we got a look at a character on the set of the show that is the spitting image of Jesus in the comics.

Here is that video from the ETOnline website:

As you can see from the video, the gentleman in question has several things that make us all believe this is Paul Monroe.  He looks just like the character from the comics.  The beanie hat, vest, and facial hair are all giveaways that this is, in fact, Jesus.

At this time, it is unknown who the actor is in these photos.  The Walking Dead and AMC have done a fantastic job at concealing the identity of the actor playing Jesus.  For now, we can assume that it is a relatively unknown actor.

Personally, I like the idea of big characters on The Walking Dead being cast with actors who aren’t mega-stars.  For example, I loved David Morrissey as The Governor, but it was hard not to see him from his roles in other projects like Doctor Who and Blackpool.  This way, this actor can be known as Paul Monroe and not have fans remembering him for other roles.

What do you think?  Do you like how this version of Paul Monroe?  Let me know your opinion in the comments below.
