The Walking Dead: Invasion – read chapter one FREE

Fans of The Walking Dead and Undead Walking know that I love the novels that take place in Robert Kirkman’s universe.  They offer a unique look at some of the characters that otherwise lack the kind of backstory which could enhance the story.

In fact, we saw that in some of the older novels, including The Rise of The Governor, The Fall of The Governor, and The Descent.  On October 6, 2015, a new installment in The Walking Dead‘s novel series will be released, and it is titled The Walking Dead: Invasion.

Written by Jay Bonansinga & Robert Kirkman, this book follows the events of Decent and picks up right after the fall of Woodbury.  Published by Thomas Dunne Books, the 304 page novel looks to add an explosive chapter to the series of books that already exist.

The Walking Dead: Invasion tells the story of two civilizations that develop after the fall of Woodbury.  One of those groups is led by Lily Caul and the other by Reverend Jeremiah Garlitz.  The two have VERY different ideas on what is best for the area where the colony once stood.

The two factions will struggle for control, with Jeremiah trying to rebuild his church while Lily hopes to bring Woodbury back to a safe community for survivors.

For those who aren’t sure if The Walking Dead: Invasion is for them, there is currently the first chapter available for preview at no cost on the ISSUU website.

Be sure to watch out for the newest installment of The Walking Dead‘s novel series when it hits stores on October 6, 2015.  In the meantime, be sure to check out all the previous books, if you haven’t already.  They’re well worth the read!
