Bruce

Bruce fought off the walkers at the construction site with Abraham and Francine in season 5 episode “Spend”, while Tobin proclaimed they needed to retreat to the trucks. Our good guy Bruce chose to stay and fight, and Abraham became the new project leader.

With all the threats suggested in the season 6 trailer, will there even be time to reinforce or extend the wall surrounding the community? And will Bruce continue to be brave in the midst of dangers lurking outside the walls? I think he will and hope that he lives to tell some tall tales about it.

I recently interviewed Ted Huckabee, the actor who portrays Bruce.  Bruce is a native of Atlanta and has worked on other local projects, including Rectify, which has used some of the very same filming locations as The Walking Dead. We also found out that he shared screen time with fellow The Walking Dead actor, Ann Mahoney, in Rectify while playing her husband Mitch in the series.  Bruce’s line about needing to “send a fax to Cleveland” gave us all a chuckle, but Ted hopes he doesn’t get typecast as the bathroom guy!
