AMC’s The Walking Dead hit the ground running with their season 6 premiere on Sunday, giving viewers much of what they love.  The episode didn’t lack action, drama, character development or, by any means, zombies.

Now, the survivors are put in a scary situation.  Their plan to lure the walkers away from Alexandria has been put into danger by an unknown siren that is bringing the zombies toward their settlement.  Rick Grimes and the people of the community will have to act fast, as everyone and their homes are in danger.

Here’s a little information about next week’s episode of The Walking Dead.

  • Episode number:  Season 6 Episode 2
  • Episode name:  ‘JSS’
  • Directed by:  Jennifer Lynch
  • Written by:  Seth Hoffman
  • U.S. Air Date:  October 18, 2015
  • U.S. Air time:  9/8c
  • Channel:  AMC
  • Synopsis:  “Just when it looks like things can return to normal, or as normal as things can be in the apocalypse, a new problem arises for the Alexandrians.”

Now, let’s dive into the previews!

First, let’s take a look at the teaser that aired immediately following the season 6 premiere of The Walking Dead from the official AMC website:

It looks like there will be some problems with the walls of Alexandria.  The town is clouded with debris and everyone is freaking out.  Carl once again gets put on Judith duty, this time by Carol.  Jessie and Sam lock themselves in a closet with a gun at the ready.  We see many people bloody and bruised, both in the medical center and outside.  This looks to be a dangerous episode where nobody is safe.

Next, we have the extended look at next week’s episode from the official AMC YouTube account:

This promo focuses on Father Gabriel Stokes and Carl Grimes.  Carl seems genuinely frustrated with Gabriel after he had told Deanna not to trust Rick Grimes and the rest of the survivors in the group.  Gabriel explains that his words were misguided and that he’s ready to help out the community.  Surprisingly, Gabriel tells Carl that he’s ready to learn what he was being taught back at the church.  Carl tells him that he needs to tell everybody about what he said, and that he should come by around 3:00 for machete training.

Finally, we have the scene from AMC’s Talking Dead.  Here is that video from the YouTube account of The Walking Dead And More 2:

Centered around Enid, this promo shows us why the episode is named ‘JSS’.  Enid walks up to a car, dispatches a zombie, and gets in the driver’s seat.  It looks as though she has been in the car for a while, because the windows are all fogged up.  She writes the letters “JSS” on the window with her finger, although we don’t know why.
