The Walking Dead likes to super-size some of the more important episodes of the series.  In the past, the season premieres and finales, including the midseason, have been considered for longer episodes to help tell all of the story that needs to be told.

It’s not very often that an episode in the middle of the season gets the 90-minute treatment, but it looks like The Walking Dead season 6 episode 4 will be an exception to the rule.

If you head on over to AMC.com and look at the schedule, you’ll see that The Walking Dead is scheduled to start at the normal time for the episode on November 1, 2015, but has an end time that is 92 minutes after the beginning.  Here is a screen grab of the listings from AMC.com:

At first, I thought this was a mistake on the site.  Accidents happen all the time and this episode is still 11 days away. so I figured it was just an oversight.  However, my thoughts were confirmed by the folks over at The Spoiling Dead Fans on Facebook today, who are a great source of information for spoilers and information on upcoming episodes of The Walking Dead.  Although AMC has not confirmed that the episode is an extended one yet, all the information seems to be pointing in that direction.

Season 6 episode 4 of The Walking Dead is titled “Here’s Not Here” and is rumored to be the episode where we learn about what happened with Morgan Jones from the time we saw him in “Clear” to when he met up with Aaron and Daryl on the way to Alexandria, filling us in on the times that we didn’t get to see what he was doing and how he survived.

Are you excited for a 90-minute long episode featuring Morgan’s journey?  Or do you think that an extended installment of The Walking Dead should be used on an episode where there is more story to be told involving many characters or saved for premieres and finales?  Let me know your opinion on the comments below!
