The Walking Dead: New 609 commercial

With only 3 more weeks left to wait, there’s a brand new commercial on AMC for The Walking Dead midseason premiere that focuses on the trio trapped far outside the walls of Alexandria trying to make it back home.

We’ve already heard, countless times, the man who seems to be the head Savior in this particular Hell’s Angels group of motorcycle marauders inform Sasha, Abe and Daryl that their property now belongs to Negan.

In this new commercial,  we see Daryl turn over a gun to him, and then that same man lets them know that their usual greeting includes immediately killing one member of the group they’re saying hello to. (Well, that’s a fine how do you do.)

When Sasha tells them they don’t have to do that, Abraham tells her to shut up. I’ve already tweeted Mr. Cudlitz telling him that, considering his designs on Sasha, a be quiet would have been a little nicer. But since their no bullshit ways are part of their attraction, perhaps he knows better than I.

Sasha lets Abe know that she is talking to the man, but the man corrects her and lets the three of them, and us, the audience, know he’s not in a talking mood.

Then the AMC talking voice guy tells us not to miss what happens next when The Walking Dead returns in February. Good thing he tells us. We probably wouldn’t have remembered to do that.

And that’s it. There you have it. A succinct, nerve-jangling commercial to give us just that extra little hint while we wait for three more weeks.

I’ll tell you this much. I do not care for Abraham, Sasha and Daryl looking like they are not the ones in charge of the situation. I don’t mind seeing them afraid of walkers, but not of people. They should be able to outsmart people.
