Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead was completely different from the mid-season premiere, holding fans enthralled in all new ways. So what was the consensus? Keep reading to find out.

We’d seen the promotional pictures, and there had been buzz leading up to last weekend’s episode, so we had an idea of what was going to happen in The Next World. At least some of it. What we got was a Rick and Daryl buddy comedy road trip, and the introduction of Jesus, a long awaited character from the comics.

Oh, and let’s not forget, just when we started thinking, “Oh how great that they made it back home safe,” and “I wonder if we can trust that Jesus guy,” we also got something that had long been built up and talked about by many fans, namely, “Richonne.”

So, how did The Next World do in our ratings? Fewer people voted this week vs. last week, however, the vast majority of voters – 78% of the 140 votes – once again this episode 4 stars. This was down from 89% for the mid-season premiere, but still higher than the last few episodes before the mid season break.

13% of those who participated in our poll gave the episode 3 stars, 4% gave it 2 stars and 5% gave it 1 star. It seems fair to say that this was another very strong episode as far as fans were concerned.

Here’s what a few fans had to say about episode 610, aka “the one with Rick and Daryl’s road trip, Jesus, and Richonne.”

Maram – Love it, it was a nice change to have everyone relaxing… It was a happy episode for TWD.

Terri Stafford – Great episode – I loved it! Was so glad that Rick and Michonne FINALLY got together!

Courtney Hottottie Sease – 4 stars. I thought it was a great episode. It was great to get away from all the monotony. I think we needed a break from blood and guts. It was funny, romantic, heartfelt.. I really enjoyed it.

Carina Wilkinson Hauka – Well I would give it 5 out of 5 but it will have to be 4 out of 4.

As far as this Sunday’s episode, Knots Untie, goes, we’ll just have to tune in to see what the writers have in store for us this week! To me, that title sounds a little ominous, but then again, when it comes to The Walking Dead, ominous is generally a safe bet.
